Triplenine is an international producer and supplier of marine ingredients, built from local businesses with their own histories, capabilities and relationships.
Our operations in Esbjerg, Thyborøn, Vedde and Lota each bring distinct strengths. Together, we give customers access to local expertise, a broader supply base and the perspective of one global group.

What we do
Triplenine transforms marine resources into high-quality fish meal, fish oil and phospholipids for customers across aquaculture, agriculture and other applications.
Our essential marine nutrients are more than commodities. They play a critical role in supporting performance, supply confidence, healthy diets and the consistency that feed and food value chains depend on.
That is why our role goes beyond supply. We work close to customers, suppliers, production and the realities of the market – combining local knowledge with professional follow-up and a clear understanding of the value chain around the product.

Our history
Triplenine was not born in one place or in one year. Our story is made up of local businesses that grew around marine resources, skilled people and coastal communities – and later came together around a shared ambition.
H. Koppernæs & Sønner is founded in Norway – the earliest root in today’s Triplenine story.
Fish meal and fish oil production starts at Vedde, building expertise that continues to shape the group today.
52 local fishermen establish Andelssildeolie-fabrikken a.m.b.a. in Esbjerg. Its first telephone number is 999, which would later inspire the Triplenine name.
Thyborøn Andels Fiskeindustri is established at the site that remains an important part of Triplenine's Danish production today.
Esbjerg Fiskeindustri is formed through the merger of Andelssildeolie-fabrikken and Vestjysk Fiskemelsfabrik, consolidating fishmeal production in Esbjerg.
Vedde AS is established as a subsidiary of Koppernæs AS, continuing the Norwegian fishmeal and fish oil tradition.
Lota Protein begins fish meal production in Chile, working with local fishermen and its own fleet.
Esbjerg Fiskeindustri and Thyborøn Andels Fiskeindustri merge to form TripleNine a.m.b.a. The name is inspired by the original telephone number: 999.
Koppernæs Group acquires Lota Protein S.A. in Chile, adding South American production to the group.
TripleNine is converted into a private limited company and becomes
TripleNine A/S.
The Danish TripleNine business and the Norwegian Koppernæs/Vedde business join forces in Triplenine Group, bringing together complementary local strengths.
Koppernæs becomes the majority owner, holding 63% of Triple Fish A/S.
A new structure is introduced with TripleNine Thyborøn, TripleNine Esbjerg, TripleNine Services and TripleNine Sales.
Koppernæs takes 100% ownership of TripleNine Group.
